JESSICA & MARTIN FEARON

WEDDING VIDEO

SHIREBURN ARMS, HURST GREEN, RIBBLE VALLEY, LANCASHIRE

18TH MAY 2018

Jessica and Martin have an enduring love story. They have been together for eleven years after meeting at just 18 and 19 years old on a night out in Accrington, Lancashire. Bridesmaid Katie was instrumental in getting the pair together - who have been by each other's sides ever since!

Their wedding day was set to be amazing from the start, as Martin said in his speech, Jessica planned everything to perfection and the one thing he had to sort out was the weather! Well, the boy certainly did good as the sun shone all day long for us.

The bridal party stayed at Martin and Jessica's house the night before the wedding, and Jessica's mum Maureen had arranged a very healthy, nutritious breakfast for the girls to feast on when they woke - only to be thwarted by the girls who had already planned a McDonald's breakfast feast.

Jessica and her bridesmaids - sister Jennifer, and friends Claire and Katie - began to get ready, with hair by Kellie Hughes and make-up by Sonara Parker. Flower girl Olivia entertained herself on the iPad while all this was going on.

The morning was calm and there was a lovely atmosphere as the girls continued with their prep. Jessica took a little break from getting ready to open a note and gift Martin had left for her - a very cute Lego/Scrabble frame depicting their wedding date - and featuring their pet pooch Dexter.

Soon, flowers started to arrive. First was a surprise bouquet for Jessica from her 'Fairy Goddaughter, Ella', followed by the beautifully simple bouquets and buttonholes from Voila.

Jessica and her family very recently suffered a heartbreaking loss with the passing of her Grandmother Bridie, but they made sure she was with them in spirit. Both Jessica and Jennifer had a locket, containing a photograph of Bridie on her own wedding day, entwined into the stems of their bouquets.

The colour theme for Martin and Jessica's wedding was blue, and the bridesmaids wore beautiful floor-length, one-shouldered Dessy gowns from Anne Whittaker.

Jessica herself wore a stunning Emily gown, designed by Enzoani, with delicate lace embellishments to her neckline and back (also from Anne Whittaker's of Accrington).

Groom Martin was joined by his Best Man Liam and Ushers Nick and Matt at the church to welcome guests. Thankfully, this time Martin's brother Matt made it to the church on time after turning up at the wrong church for the rehearsal earlier in the week.

Photographer Gareth Durham took the opportunity to gather the boys for some shots before heading in to the church. The guys all wore matching suits with tailcoats and waistcoats from Winstanley's. They also wore blue ties and pocket handkerchiefs to complement the bridesmaid dresses.

With all the guests assembled and Martin waiting anxiously at the front of church for his bride, there were just two people yet to arrive. Jessica and her father Phil were brought to church in a vintage blue and ivory Regent Convertible from Malvern Wedding Cars.

St. John the Evangelist church in Accrington is home to the memorial for the Accrington Pals. It is where Jessica and Jennifer attended Sunday school as children, and it is also where Martin's parents Linda and Tom were married. It was very fitting then, that Martin and Jessica should choose this beautiful Lancashire chapel to exchange their vows.

Pageboy Ewan read a passage from the bible and Martin and Jessica exchanged vows and rings during the religious ceremony. After signing the register, the couple processed back up the aisle, followed by family and friends. Once outside, the couple were showered with petal confetti the guests had brought with them.

The venue for the wedding reception was James' Places Shireburn Arms, nestled in Hurst Green in the heart of the Ribble Valley. The perfect weather allowed the guests to enjoy their prosecco and gin on the terrace on the edge of the gardens while Martin and Jessica had their photographs taken - making the most of the stunning Lancashire scenery.

They had hired friend and wedding host Alex Birtwell to coordinate the entertainment for their wedding day and he wasted no time in getting started, firstly inviting Martin and Liam to join him in performing a cover of Oasis's 'Don't Look Back In Anger' - much to the delight of the small crowd of family and friends watching them... I have to say, Liam's rendition wasn't too bad either, Alex might have to watch his back!

The wedding breakfast room was decorated to match the couple's blue theme with bows from Creative Cover Hire, and stationery from Brides Little Helper

Speeches were made by Father of the Bride Phil, Groom Martin and Best Man Liam and there were plenty of tears and laughs around the room.

Onto the evening and more guests arrived to join Martin and Jessica in celebrating their wedding day. Martin and Jessica's incredible  four-tiered wedding cake was made by Jessica's Auntie Pauline with help from Emily, and decorated with flowers and a cake topper depicting their married names and wedding date.

The couple cut the cake as friends and family gathered around the dancefloor in anticipation of the first dance. Again, Alex Birtwell and his team were there to provide the music, and Martin and Jessica cuddled in tight and gazed into each other's eyes as they danced.

They were soon joined on the dancefloor by the gathered audience and then the party really started!  The dance floor was filled until it was time to pack up my kit and leave - but not before capturing some really fun footage just for Martin & Jessica - including 'KatieCam', where bridesmaid Katie was let loose on the evening guests with a video camera of her very own.

It was an honour to be invited to capture Martin & Jessica's wedding video and I'm pleased to say that you can now watch the sharing version of the highlights from their beautiful wedding day below.
